LACC Staff Benefits From Investigation Information Management Training
About fourteen Investigation Officers of the Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission (LACC) have benefited from a two week Investigation Information Management training at the Liberia Institute of Public Administration (LIPA).
The training conducted by LIPA was aimed at increasing the understanding of Investigation Officers of the LACC on their role in eliminating corruption and promoting the rule of Law.
The training which ran from December 12-23, 2016 was also intended to broaden the understanding of complexities, its root causes and impact on society, and as well enhance the knowledge and skills of the Participants to develop a sustained strategy for the promotion of integrity.
The Participants at the end of the training are expected to identify instruments for increasing transparency, interpret the Liberian Procurement Law, and use IFMIS to assess financial malpractices, to combat fraud in Procurement, to conduct financial investigation and to use technology to combat corruption and fraud.
LIPA Director General Hon. Oblayon Blanyon Nyemah during the training said the interest of LIPA is to ensure that the knowledge and skills of Public and Civil Servants is enhanced.
Hon. told the Participants that they will not be able to perform their role effectively if they are not equip with the requisite skills.
He encourage them to make use of the training so as to be able fight corruption and maintain Liberia’s peace.
