LIPA Provides Career Training for Prospective AMEU Graduates
The Liberia Institute of Public Administration (LIPA) in collaboration with the African Methodist Episcopal University (AMEU) has conducted a one day career training workshop for prospective graduates of that University.
The training which was held on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at the AMEU auditorium on Camp Johnson Road was intended to help participants develop skills they need to achieve their career objectives.
The training was attended by over one hundred prospective graduates of the University.
Also present were the Director General of LIPA Hon. Oblayon Blayon Nyemah, the Deputy for Training and Development, Mrs. Jarso Jallah Saygbe and members of the AMEU Faculty and staff headed by its president DR. Joseph Isaac.
Speaking during the training Hon. Nyemah begun by explaining the service-delivering roles and functions of LIPA to the Public and Private Sectors of Liberia.
Hon. Nyemah told the participants that the purpose of the training was to give them idea about what they would like to do as a career upon their graduation from college. He further explained that being the capacity building arm of Government is to help Liberians choose the right career path that will make them productive citizens.
The LIPA Boss also lauded the AMEU Administration for collaborating with his Institution to achieve the objectives of the training exercise.
For his part, the President of the AMEU DR. Joseph Isaac appreciated LIPA for partnering with the University and assured that the training provided by LIPA to his students will not be a waste, encouraging his students to make use of the internet so as to help them choose the right kind of career in life.
