LIPA Ends Transformational Leadership Training for Civil Servants

The Liberia Institute of Public Administration (LIPA) has ended a three week Transformational Leadership training for one hundred Civil Servants, who are in leadership positions from project pilot participating Ministries, Agencies and Commissions (MACs) of Government including ministries of Health, Internal Affairs, Foreign Affairs, Education, Justice, and State. The other three implementing Agencies and Commission are: Liberia Institute of Public Administration (LIPA), Civil Service Agency (CSA) and Governance Commission (GC).

The training which took place at the Cape Hotel in Mamba Point, is part of the Public Sector Modernization Project and ran from October 31- November 18,2016.

The training was intended to establish a sustained foundation for effective leadership scheme within the Civil Service and will transform Public Sector managers from dormant status quo to complete results oriented leaders.

Speaking at the training recently, LIPA Director General Oblayon Nyemah told the Participant that a transformational leader is someone who can think creatively to achieve results.

He used the LEC perspective by providing electricity to most part of country as some of the transformation that is taking place in Liberia.

Honorable further reminded the Participants the positions they find themselves in is challenging, noting that leaders will always rely on them to make decisions.
